Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Cookery Vault mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App.

The App is provided by Expulvis Interactive ("we", "us", "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cookery Vault is a free recipe reader and grocery list manager that allows users to browse, view, organize, and manage recipes and grocery lists within a household group. The App includes:

• Recipe browsing, viewing, and searching
• Grocery list creation and management
• Household-based multi-user recipe sharing
• Taxonomy-based recipe classification and filtering
• Offline recipe downloads for use without an internet connection

3. User Accounts

You must have a Cookery Vault account to use the App. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Household Groups

The App is organized around household groups. Recipes are shared among members of a household group.

• Household members share access to recipes within the group
• Only the recipe owner can edit or delete their recipes
• Grocery lists are private to each user and are NOT shared with other household members

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the App to:

• Submit, store, or transmit any content that is offensive, obscene, profane, hateful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Upload content that contains malicious code or data designed to exploit or harm the system
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Share account credentials with unauthorized parties

Content moderation is enforced automatically. Submissions that violate these guidelines will be rejected. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

6. Content Moderation

The App employs content moderation to maintain a safe and appropriate environment for all users, including:

• Input validation to reject malformed or nonsensical content
• Profanity filtering to block offensive language
• Automated content analysis to detect harmful content

Content that is flagged by any moderation layer will be rejected and will not be saved. We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

• You retain ownership of all recipes, notes, and other content you create. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the App.

Our Content

• The App, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Expulvis Interactive and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

8. Data & Privacy

• Your data is stored securely in cloud infrastructure and is scoped to your household group
• Sensitive recipe content is encrypted at rest using column-level encryption
• We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data or recipe content to third parties
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data through Help & Support

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the App but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Infrastructure updates or deployments
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any recipe content

11. Termination

• You may stop using the App and delete it at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, with or without notice
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Expulvis Interactive operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
